The on road interim route was created to raise awareness of the trail’s potential. It gives a sense of what the trail would offer when complete. By comparison the finished trail would be safe, quiet and traverse a more natural environment.

The interim route is signed starting at the intersection of Middlesex Rd and Foreside Rd in Topsham and ending at the Waterfront Park in Gardiner. Directions are available in this map.
